MEET JON

I am a proud Carmel Clay Schools parent, a Carmel resident for over 10 years, and the husband of a lifelong Hoosier and dedicated mental health professional. I am passionate about the Carmel community and its people. I, along with my wife Katy, chose to build our lives in Carmel because we believe it’s the best place in Indiana to raise a family.

Since I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service Management from Empire State College in New York,
I have dedicated my career to serving others. I have worked in variety of youth-focused nonprofit organizations, where I managed multi-million-dollar budgets, led national programs, and overseen staff and teams.

For the past six years, I have worked in the education space. I served as Program Director for a national education foundation, forging partnerships with school districts across the country, oversaw a college scholarship program, and supported teachers and principals in 43 schools. Since 2022, I have led programs and fundraising initiatives for Hope Academy, an Indianapolis-based high school that serves students with substance use disorder – one of the first schools of its kind in the nation. Through my work, I have vast experience managing organizational finances, supervising staff, developing a variety of curricula, and working collaboratively with both professional and lay leaders in a multitude of settings.

In addition to my professional work, I relish the opportunity to invest in the community and the institutions that inspire me. Over the past few years, I have become a deeply involved member of the CCS community; as a parent of a school athlete, by attending school board meetings regularly, participating in the Carmel Clay Schools Expedition program, and volunteering to help advocate for the 2023 renewal of the Operating Referendum with Yes for CCS. My faith community plays an integral role in my life. I have been an active and engaged member of the Jewish community throughout my life and have or currently am serving as a Board Member for several Jewish organizations.
